TORONTO, April 18 /CNW/ - HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX: HBM) (HudBay) today announced the resignation of John Knowles, the Company's Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as of June 30, 2005. Mr. Knowles, who served most recently with HudBay and previously with its wholly owned subsidiary, Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co., Limited, is leaving to pursue other interests. "The Board of Directors and Management of HudBay thank John for his nine years of service and we wish him well in the future," said Peter R. Jones, President and CEO. The Company is initiating a search for a replacement and will announce the new CFO when the process is complete. About HudBay Minerals Inc.
