Privatisation of Hang Seng Bank - Scheme Document
HSBC Holdings plc announced the despatch of the Scheme Document regarding the proposed privatisation of Hang Seng Bank Limited by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited via a scheme of arrangement. The Scheme Document, along with notices for the Hang Seng Bank Court Meeting and General Meeting scheduled for January 8, 2026, will be sent to Hang Seng Bank Shareholders on December 15, 2025. The independent financial adviser and the Hang Seng Bank Independent Board Committee both recommend that disinterested shareholders vote in favour of the proposal, with the expected withdrawal of Hang Seng Bank shares from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on January 27, 2026, assuming all conditions are met.
