(HSPI)\n \n\n\n [1],\n \n\n is progressing as planned with the development of its\n \n Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) system\n \n . Following the successful production\n \n of its first batch in late February 2025\n \n , the pilot plant is now optimizing operations\n \n to increase throughput from 20–30 kg per batch to over 480 kg per\n \n\n day\n \n . During this phase, the fumed silica produced will undergo internal testing, with samples sent to parties under LOI (\n \n as per the July 9, 2024, release\n \n ) and other NDAs.\n \n\n By Q4 2025, HSPI will begin\n \n commercial production of fumed silica\n \n using its\n \n pilot-scale FSR system\n \n , making it\n \n Canada’s first domestic producer of fumed silica.\n \n With escalating U.S. tariff threats and potential countermeasures, the timing is critical, as these trade policies are expected to\n \n disrupt supply chains and increase the cost of imported materials.\n \n\n\n\n “Fumed silica is used in thousands of everyday products, yet Canada has no domestic\n \n production,\n \n leaving Canadian manufacturers vulnerable to unpredictable trade policies that could swiftly drive prices up.\n \n\n\n As a result, prices are expected to rise by at least 25%, squeezing businesses and limiting growth\n \n\n ,” said\n \n Bernard Tourillon, President ...
