Stiffler, an experienced Fortune 100 executive, has assumed the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer of Homasote Company, America's oldest manufacturer of building products from recycled material, CEO Warren Flicker announced.\r\n\r\nStiffler spent nearly 14 years at Siemens Power Generation, a subsidiary of Siemens AG. Most recently he served as vice president and general manager of the $300 million, 400-plus employee, Trenton-based Industrial Applications Division, an original equipment manufacturer of industrial gas and steam turbines, and compressors used in power generation, oil, gas and other industrial processes.\r\n\r\nIn his most recent position at Siemens, Stiffler led his organization through two integrations, developed and implemented significant manufacturing improvements, and dramatically improved sales and marketing in several areas, including market share and new customer penetration.\r\n\r\n\"As Homasote Company approaches its 100-year anniversary we are fortunate to have someone with Craig's knowledge and skill in this key new leadership position. We'll be leveraging his engineering, management and marketing skills to take us to new levels of growth, efficiency and productivity,\" Flicker said.\r\n\r\n\"I'm pleased to be part of a company with such a rich history of manufacturing innovation and environmental responsibility. We have challenges to address: creating manufacturing efficiencies, improving our marketing and growing our customer base.\"\r\n\r\nStiffler received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA in Finance and Operations from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
