Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules 3.1.4R

Hochschild Mining plc ('the Company') announces that Ignacio Bustamante, an Executive Director of the Company, has purchased 12,890 Ordinary Shares in the Company ('Shares') at a price of £4.789896 per Share.

The transaction, which took place on the London Stock Exchange, was effected and notified to the Company on 23 April 2012 and brings Mr Bustamante's total shareholding in the Company to 26,944 Shares.
