[{"type":"text","content":"\n Hochschild Mining PLC\n08 January 2008\n\n\n\n Hochschild Mining plc (the 'Group') appoints Mr Miguel Aramburu\nas Chief Executive Officer and Mr Ignacio Bustamante as Chief Operating Officer\n\n\nThe Board of Directors of Hochschild Mining plc yesterday approved the\nappointment of Mr Miguel Aramburu as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Group.\nMr Aramburu, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer, takes up his new\npost today, January 8, 2008. Prior to this appointment, the CEO responsibilities\nwere exercised by Mr Eduardo Hochschild, Executive Chairman. Mr Ignacio\nBustamante, formerly General Manager of Peru, succeeds Mr Aramburu as Chief\nOperating Officer.\n\nIn his capacity as CEO, Mr Aramburu assumes responsibility for the day-to-day\noperations of the Group. As Executive Chairman, Eduardo Hochschild remains\nresponsible for developing the Group's vision and long-term corporate strategy\nas well as leading the Board.\n\nMr Aramburu joined the Hochschild Mining Group in 1995, when he was appointed\nGeneral Manager of Compania Minera Pativilca, a previous subsidiary of the\nGroup. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Hochschild Mining Group\nin 2002 and General Manager of the Mining Division in 2005. Most recently, Mr\nAramburu served as Chief Operating Officer of the Group. Mr. Aramburu graduated\nfrom the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in 1987 in Industrial\nEngineering and holds an MBA from Stanford University.\n\nMr Bustamante joined the Hochschild Mining Group in 1992. Prior to his current\nposition, he worked for Zemex Corporation, a subsidiary of Cementos Pacasmayo\nbased in Atlanta, Georgia, serving first as Chief Financial Officer and Vice\nPresident of Business Development and later as its President. Mr Bustamante\nholds a BSc in Business and a BSc in Accounting from Universidad del Pacifico in\nPeru and an MBA from Stanford University.\n\nEduardo Hochschild, Executive Chairman of Hochschild Mining plc, commented\n\n'I am pleased to announce the appointments of Miguel Aramburu as Chief Executive\nOfficer and Ignacio Bustamante as Chief Operating Officer of Hochschild Mining\nplc.
