Goode as\nan independent non-executive director of the Company.\n\nCommenting on the appointment, Samih Darwazah, Hikma's Chairman and Chief\nExecutive said, 'Ron will be an excellent addition to the Board as he brings\nexperience of multiple board appointments, corporate governance, strategic\ndevelopment and public company issues. His pharmaceutical and financial\nexperience will be of significant value as we continue to build our business\nboth organically and through acquisitions and I am delighted that we have\nattracted a businessman of his calibre and experience.'\n\nDuring his career in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Goode has developed\nexpertise in operations on a global basis. He held key management positions at\nPfizer Pharmaceuticals (Vice President of Clinical Research and Scientific\nAffairs, Director of Marketing Research) and at G. D. Searle & Co. (Senior Vice\nPresident of Commercial Development, President of Asia/Pacific World Area,\nPresident of Searle International Operations). He has an extensive record of\nsuccess in business development, and has supervised clinical development\nprograms that led to the filing of over a dozen New Drug Approval applications,\nincluding Pfizer's Procardia XL(R) and Searle's Ambien(R). Dr. Goode has\npreviously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of two public\ncompanies, Unimed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and eXegenics Inc., and as a Director of\nseveral other companies, including Hokuriku Seiyaku KK and Vitro Diagnostics.\n\nDr. Goode currently serves on the Board of Directors of Genitope Corporation and\nis on the Advisory Board of ART Recherches et Technologies Avancees Inc., a\nCanadian public medical devices company. He has also formed his own consulting\ncompany, The Goode Group, for the purpose of advising Boards of Directors, CEOs,\ninvestment funds, and private individuals. Dr. Goode is a director of Mercy\nShips International, a private charity, and is a trustee of Thunderbird, the\nGarvin School of International Management.\n\nDr. Goode holds a M.S. in microbiology from the University of Memphis and a\nPh.D. ...
