(OTC PINK: HEMP) reports today hemp is finally getting the recognition it deserves as a valuable commodity on the federal level. In a bold, significant move, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agriculture Service, retitled one of its Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees (ATACs) to include “hemp”. Sources cited it as a “prominent” way to “feature the plant among specialty crops” because it indicates the growing recognition of hemp’s value.  The new ATAC name that incorporates hemp is Tobacco, Cotton, Peanuts, and Hemp.
