(TSX: HBP / Frankfurt: WKN 918864)\n\n\nAURORA, ON, Jan. 30 /CNW/ - Helix BioPharma Corp. announces that at the\nCompany's Annual General Meeting held on January 29th, 2008, shareholders\nadopted all of the resolutions presented by management, appointing KPMG LLP as\nauditor, electing Don Segal, John Docherty, Ken Cawkell, Jack Kay, Slawomir\nMajewski, and Gordon Lickrish as directors, and approving certain amendments\nto the Company's by-laws.\n\n\nJoining the Helix BioPharma board is Professor Slawomir Majewski, Head of\nthe Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Warsaw School of Medicine\nin Poland. Professor Majewski's extensive experience in the field of\ndermatology, and especially sexually transmitted diseases and skin cancer,\nwill be of great benefit to the Board of Directors and the senior management\nteam at Helix.\n\n\nRetiring from Helix's board are Conor Gunne and Dr. Richard Rossman, who\nserved as directors of Helix for a number of years.
