(CSE:HWG) (OTC:HWAUF) (the\n\"Company\" or \"Headwater\") is\n \n \n pleased\n \n \n to\n \n \n provide an update on its active 2023 drilling programs.  The\nSpring Peak, Midas North and Mahogany drill programs are fully funded\nthrough option and earn-in agreements with Newcrest Mining Limited\n(“Newcrest”) (ASX, TSX, PNGX: NCM) announced on August 16,\n \n \n 2022 and May 9, 2023.  Drilling at Katey is\nself-funded by the Company.\n \n \n \n \n Highlights:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Spring Peak Drilling\n \n \n – Over\n3,000 metres of a planned 11,500 metres of drilling have been\ncompleted to date, comprising of ten holes.  Eight holes have been\ncompleted in the Disco Zone target and all eight holes encountered\nepithermal veining in the modelled target zone.  Drilling\ncontinues;\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Midas North Drilling\n \n \n –\nApproximately 900 metres of a planned 3,500 metres of drilling have\nbeen completed to date, comprising of two holes.  Both holes were\ndrilled below the Big Opal Sinter target intercepting epithermal\nalteration and veining at depth.  Drilling continues;\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Mahogany Drilling\n \n \n –\n \n \n Approximately 1,\n \n \n 600 metres of drilling\nhave been completed over five holes in two target areas. Three of five\nholes encountered veining and vein breccias in the modelled target\nzones.  Assays are pending;\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Katey Drilling\n \n \n –\n \n \n Approximately\n \n \n 2,800 metres of drilling\nhave been completed over eleven holes.  Most holes encountered\nsignificant epithermal alteration, structurally controlled breccias\nand epithermal veining.
