[{"type":"text","content":"\n Hargreaves Services PLC\n19 December 2007\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 19 December 2007\n \n\n Hargreaves Services plc (the 'Group' or 'Hargreaves')\n\n\n Board Change\n\n\nThe Board of Hargreaves Services plc today announces the planned retirement of\nPeter Dillon, Finance Director, who will step down from the Board of Hargreaves\non 31 December 2007. The Board also announces the appointment of Iain Duncan\nCockburn, as Finance Director of Hargreaves with effect from 1 January 2008.\n\n\nTim Ross, Chairman, said:\n\n\n'Peter played a key role in the flotation and subsequent development of the\nGroup since his arrival in 2003 and has been central to the flotation and\nsubsequent growth of the business. His retirement was signalled in the 2007\nAnnual Report and we wish him well for the future.\n\n'The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Iain Cockburn as our new\nFinance Director. He has substantial financial and commercial experience across\na broad range of different business sectors and geographies and we are confident\nhe will make a significant contribution to the management and growth of the\nGroup.'\n\nIain Cockburn (aged 42) is a Chartered Accountant. After five years with Price\nWaterhouse in the UK and Luxembourg he held a number of finance roles, in both\nthe UK and USA, within Courtaulds PLC and GenRad Inc groups. Prior to joining\nHargreaves he was Finance Director and subsequently CEO and Finance Director of\nKnowledge Support Systems PLC ('KSS'). In October 2006, in addition to his\nexecutive role at KSS, he joined the board of Tadpole Technology PLC as a\nnon-executive, to assist with its strategic review.
