[{"type":"text","content":"\n Hardide PLC\n26 June 2007\n\n\n\nPress Release 26 June 2007\n\n\n Hardide plc\n ('Hardide' or 'the Company' or 'the Group')\n\n Non-Executive Directorate Appointment\n\n\nHardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology, is\npleased to announce the appointment of William Yale Zakroff as a Non-Executive\nDirector of the Company with immediate effect.\n\nMr Zakroff has worked as a senior level general management consultant in Houston\nsince founding the Zakroff Group in 1984. He has worked at the highest levels\nfor many well-known oil and gas companies and as an independent financial and\nstrategic advisor. Additionally, Mr Zakroff has provided international business\ndevelopment and consulting assistance across major industrial sectors including\nengineering and construction services, oil and gas equipment and services,\nenvironmental services, industrial machinery, power generation, speciality\nmaterials and water treatment. He has also acted as an investor, and/or\nprincipal on a number of venture capital transactions.\n\nPrior to this, Mr Zakroff joined the General Electric Company in 1978 after\ncompleting an MBA with Distinction at Kellogg Graduate School of Management at\nNorthwestern University, and a BSc in Chemistry at the University of New Mexico.\n\nMr Zakroff is also the founder and current CEO of Marinus Power LLC, a private\nHouston-based company which develops and finances offshore renewable energy\nprojects and technologies. Private equity projects that he has previously\nundertaken include two rounds of start-up capital for Canyon Offshore and the\nMBO of OceanWorks International from Stolt Offshore.\n\nIn accordance with Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules, William Yale Zakroff, aged\n57, has the following directorships:\n\n\n\nCurrent Directorships\nZakroff Group LP\nMarinus Power LLC\n\nPast Directorships\nNone\n\n\nJim Murray-Smith, Chief Executive of Hardide plc, said: 'I am delighted to\nwelcome William to the Board.
