[{"type":"text","content":"\n Hardide PLC\n17 December 2007\n\n\n\n\nPress Release 17 December 2007\n\n\n\n\n\n Hardide plc\n\n\n\n('Hardide' or 'the Company')\n\n\n\n Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman\n\n\n\n\n\nHardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology, is\npleased to announce the appointment of Robert Goddard to the Board of Hardide\nplc as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 28 January 2008.\n\n\n\nA chartered engineer, Mr Goddard was on the executive board of Burmah Castrol\nplc and previously managed its worldwide fuels business and a substantial\nportion of its chemicals business. He subsequently joined Amberley Group PLC in\nNovember 2000 where he was Chief Executive, responsible for turning round and\nselling on its four speciality chemical subsidiaries, thereby enhancing the\nshare price substantially before leaving in 2002. More recently he has had a\nvariety of advisory and turnaround assignments.
