Hannover House, Inc., (OTC: HHSE) and its Medallion Releasing multi-studio sales venture, will stake a leading post in the independent film distribution marketplace this summer with an impressive forty-five title release slate. Led by three theatrical titles and fourteen new release videos, the release schedule for June, July and August also includes six new DVD multipacks and twenty-two repriced titles for mass merchant budget bins, modular placement and sell-through outlets.
"The summer release slate represents the culmination of more than 18-months of work in restructuring the company's distribution strategy," said Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. "Our theatrical titles will act as leading titles to drive our visibility and revenues, with higher end direct-to-video titles supplementing the new release slate and multipacks and repricing activities harvesting significant sell-through revenues from our film library. 2015 is already shaping up to be a year of significant growth in both our volume of releases as well as revenues and overall corporate performance."
Three theatrical titles will lead the slate, beginning with the July 10 launch of the acclaimed thriller, "The Algerian," followed on July 17 with the supernatural horror-thriller, "Dark Awakening," and July 24 launch of the nature docudrama "Bonobos: Back to the Wild." The revised release dates include an adjustment of four weeks for "Dark Awakening" and a tightening of the roll-out schedule for "The Algerian" which accommodations were made at the request of key theatre chains. The short delay in release dates will also benefit Hannover House by opening up the opportunity for a major Media Day event in New York City on July 8, which will now occur during a very light week of new release competition for media attention.
