The budget is set at under $2-million, with financing provided through private investors, distribution presales and state tax benefits, with Hannover House as lead. \"The Unwelcome\" was written by Adam Roberts and Steven Rumbelow; producers are Tony Wonnacott, Dan Griffin and Steven Rumbelow. The film chronicles the story of two researchers of paranormal activity that are hired to investigate strange occurrences at an old, Louisiana plantation. Hannover House plans to release \"The Unwelcome\" to theatres in October, 2015. The film will be the fourth major theatrical release for the company in 2015, alongside \"Mother Goose: Journey To Utopia\", \"The Legend of Belle Starr\" and \"Shadow Vision.\" A fifth theatrical title, the forthcoming production of \"Within Screaming Distance\" (which Hannover House acquired at the Cannes Film Festival last month), may not be ready for theatrical release by Hannover House in 2015.
