Halma PLC 11 April 2001 INTEREST NOTIFIED UNDER SECTION 198 COMPANIES ACT 1985 Halma p.l.c. has today received notification from Silchester International Investors Limited, acting as investment manager for a number of large institutional investors and commingled funds, that as a result of recent purchases of ordinary shares in Halma p.l.c. on behalf of its clients, it now has control over 54,706,748 shares This represents 15.15% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
