[{"type":"text","content":"\n Syntopix Group plc\n13 December 2006\n\n\n\nFor immediate release 13 December 2006\n\n\n SYNTOPIX GROUP PLC\n ('Syntopix' or 'the Group')\n\n BOARD CHANGES\n\n\nSyntopix Group plc (AIM: SYN), the drug discovery and development group focused\non dermatological diseases, is pleased to announce that Stephen Philip Jones BSc\n(Hons) Pharm, PhD, MRPharmS, (aged 49), has been appointed as Chief Executive\nOfficer (having been Chief Operating Officer since 1 July 2006). The appointment\nis effective from 1 January 2007. At the same time Rod Adams (Chief Executive\nOfficer) has been appointed as Chairman of the Company and Gwyn Humphreys has\nbeen appointed as the Company's senior non-executive Director.\n\nThere are no further disclosures to be made in accordance with Schedule 2 (g) of\nthe AIM rules.\n\nCommenting on the Board changes, Rod Adams, said: 'I am delighted that Stephen\nhas taken the position of Chief Executive. Stephen has grown into this role\nhaving spent six months working at Syntopix and I believe that his experience at\nGSK in drug development and consumer healthcare will stand him in good stead to\ntake the business forward. I am pleased to be taking over as Chairman and look\nforward to continuing to work alongside Stephen and the Syntopix management\nteam. We are all delighted that Gwyn is staying on the Syntopix Board as a\nsenior non-executive Director and I would like to thank him for his hard work\nand support as Chairman.
