(OTCQB: GSRX) (“GSRX” or, the “Company”), announced today that The Green Room, the Company’s medicinal and adult-use cannabis retailer in Point Arena, California has been selected as the 2018 Business Champion for the Arts by the Arts Council of Mendocino County.  The Green Room commissioned muralist Nicole Ponsler to create the award-winning mural on an exterior wall of the business.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Green Room in Point Arena, California\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n In announcing the award, Alyssum Wier, Executive Director of the Arts Council of Mendocino County, recognized The Green Room for “creating an appealing nature-themed mural, clearly visible upon entry into Point Arena from the south, that greatly enhances entry into the town.” Each year, nominations for Arts Champion Awards are solicited from the community at large. Honorees are selected by the Arts Council of Mendocino County’s Board of Directors, and are formally recognized with a proclamation by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors each October to coincide with National Arts and Humanities Month, a coast-to-coast celebration of culture in America.  GSRX acquired The Green Room in April of this year, and posted record sales for the first full quarter following the acquisition.  Average daily sales at the dispensary during the second quarter increased 161%, as compared to average daily sales during the first quarter, and increased 60%, as compared to average daily sales during the second quarter of 2017.  GSRX believes these increases were due to not only to the legalization of adult-use recreational cannabis sales beginning on January 1, but also to the Company’s increase in inventory, expansion of product selection, and an increase in local and regional advertising.
