[{"type":"text","content":"May 10, 2016 / TheNewswire / Vancouver, British Columbia- Nevada Energy Metals Inc. \"the Company\" TSX-V: BFF (OTC: SSMLF) (Frankfurt: A2AFBV) is pleased to announce that an initial near surface auger sampling program on our 100% owned Teels Marsh West claims which covers approximately 810 hectares (2000 acres) in Mineral County, Nevada has recently been completed. Samples have been sent to ALS Labs, Reno, Nevada, one of the world's largest and most diversified testing services providers. This orientation phase of the lithium detection sampling consisted of 27 shallow auger holes (up to 1.5 meters). The program was designed to collect playa sediment samples near to a thermal anomaly located on and adjacent to a range front fault system along the west side of Teels Marsh. This thermal anomaly was discovered during research into the relationship between geothermal systems and Quaternary borate deposits previously mined at Teels Marsh (Coolbaugh et al. 2006). Close proximity to a geothermal heat source is believed to be one of the principal requirements for concentrating lithium in the brines at Clayton Valley, home to the first commercial lithium brine operation in North America.
