(the “Company”) (NASDAQ: GCBC), the holding company for The Bank of Greene County and its subsidiary Greene County Commercial Bank, today reported net income for the quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2023. Net income for the quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2023 was $6.5 million, or $0.38 per basic and diluted share, and $30.8 million, or $1.81 per basic and diluted share, respectively, as compared to $6.8 million, or $0.40 per basic and diluted share, and $28.0 million, or $1.64 per basic and diluted share, for the quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2022, respectively. All share and per share information throughout this release has been retroactively adjusted to reflect the 2-for-1 stock split effected on March 23, 2023. Net income decreased $347,000, or 5.1%, when comparing the quarters ended June 30, 2023 and 2022, and increased $2.8 million, or 10.0%, when comparing the fiscal years ended June 30, 2023 and 2022.
