(GAR:TSX) is pleased to announce\nthat the Corporation has signed a joint venture agreement with Commercial\nCoating Services International, Ltd. (CCSI) located in Conroe, Texas a\nsubsidiary of the well established \"The Bayou Companies\" located in Louisiana\nto expand CCSI's field joint coating technology towards cold weather\napplication suited in Canada and the North.\nCCSI's automated WideSheet(TM) three layer Polyolefin coating system\nwhich includes automated powder application rings, blast recovery systems, and\nspecialty induction equipment is expected to be enhanced by Garneau's\nmanufacturing, computer control technology and overall cold weather coating\nexpertise.\nTogether, the joint venture partners expect to introduce an automated\nproduct which will streamline and improve application methods suitable for\nextreme conditions encountered by major northern pipeline projects scheduled\nfor construction within the next five to ten years.\nThe joint venture will be actively pursuing new projects for application\nof this new technology in the near future.
