Garneau Inc. awarded external coating for Access Pipeline Project

NISKU, AB, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - Garneau Inc. (GAR:TSX) today announced that
the Corporation was recently awarded the large diameter External Coating
Contract valued at approximately $9 million dollars for the Access Pipeline
Project through Sunstone Projects.
Over 650 kilometers of pipe including sizes of 16", 24" and 30" will be
coated with Garneau's Fusion Bond Epoxy or Three Layer Side Extrusion
products. The Pipeline will run from the Fort McMurray Region to Edmonton,
Alberta and is scheduled for installation in the second quarter of 2006.
Garneau's multi-coating product lines have ample capacity available to supply
the Access Pipeline Project together with our regular production customer
requirements.
Production will commence during the third quarter of 2005 and will be
completed during the second quarter 2006. The Access Pipeline Project coating
contract is expected to contribute towards and have a positive impact on the
Corporations revenue and profitability for the remainder of 2005 and towards
the second quarter 2006. Further large diameter projects will continue to be
pursued by Garneau in the future to utilize excess plant capacity.
