[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n4 November 2009\n\n GREAT WESTERN MINING CORPORATION PLC\n\n (\"GWMC\")\n\n EXPANSION OF AREA UNDER CLAIM\n\nGreat Western Mining Corporation plc, the Dublin based exploration company holding uranium, copper, gold and\nsilver claims in Nevada, is pleased to announce that, following consideration of the recent Competent Person's\nReport, it has more than doubled the area under claim to 411 (four hundred and eleven) claims or approximately\n34 sq. km. (thirty four square kilometres.)\n\nAll of the subject area is within the prolific Walker Lane Belt Geological trend in Western Nevada. Over a\nbillion tons of copper ore with associated precious and industrial minerals have been produced from several\nmajor mines located along this trend.\n\nFurther geophysical work to determine the best locations for an initial ore drilling programme will be\ninitiated late this year, weather permitting.\n\nThe directors are pleased that the Competent Person's Report stated, inter-alia,\n\n * Bottle roll leaching tests to samples crushed to pass 1/4 (6mm) screen opening produced excellent\n extractions of copper, precious metals and uranium.\n\n * Geological and geophysical evidence suggests that the IWM claim group is very permissive for the\n discovery (of) a bulk-tonnage porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit of moderate depths.
