[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n4 May 2011\n\n GREAT WESTERN MINING CORPORATION PLC\n\n CORRECTION OF DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDING\n\nGreat Western Mining Corporation plc (\"GWM or the \"Company\"), the Dublin based mineral exploration company\nwhich is prospecting for Gold, Silver, Copper, Uranium and other minerals over a 32sq km area in Nevada,\nannounces a correction to an error in its Chairman, Mr Emmett O'Connell's shareholding.\n\nOn 2 February 2011, Mr O'Connell was stated as being interested in 7,055,181 ordinary shares of EURO 0.01\neach (representing 18.82% of the voting rights in the issued ordinary share capital of the Company), with\neach ordinary share holding one voting right (\"Ordinary Shares\"), which included Ordinary Shares held by\nhis wife, Mary O'Connell, and Ordinary Shares held by the Emmett O'Connell pension fund.\n\nAfter an examination of share certificates and the Company's shareholder register, Mr O'Connell determined\non 28 April 2011 that he is in fact interested in 6,952,818 Ordinary Shares. Mr O'Connell notified the\nCompany regarding the error in his holding on 28 April 2011. Mr O'Connell's revised holding of 6,952,818\nOrdinary Shares represents 18.55% of the voting rights in the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.\nMr O'Connell's aforementioned holding of 6,952,818 Ordinary Shares includes 1,650,000 Ordinary Shares held\nby the Emmett O'Connell pension fund and 100,000 Ordinary Shares held by Mr O'Connell's wife, Mrs Mary\nO'Connell.
