This donation includes\n \n $50,000\n \n from each Canada Life, IGM Financial and Power Corporation of\n \n Canada\n \n to the Canadian Red Cross and also includes\n \n $100,000\n \n to the Red Cross from Empower Retirement, a U.S. subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n India\n \n is experiencing nearly 20 million COVID-19 cases and the world's highest daily infection rate. The companies' donations will be directed to the Indian Red Cross Society to provide a range of critical supports during this time.\n \n \n \"From the outset of the pandemic, each of our companies have been committed to helping those in most need,\" said Jeff Macoun, President and Chief Operating Officer, Canada Life. \"The situation in\n \n India\n \n is dire and requires support from around the globe.
