(TSX-V\n GPG) ("Grande Portage" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it\n has commenced drilling operations at its mesothermal vein Herbert\n Glacier gold project near Juneau, Alaska.\n\n\nGrande Portage plans to drill at least 3300 meters from approximately 22\n holes drilled from 8 different platforms which will test up to four\n separate major veins and their satellitic structures. The 2011 drill\n program is a continuation of last year's project which tested multiple\n gold-quartz veins of the Herbert Glacier system with encouraging\n results.\n\n\nThe first drill setup will be to the west end of the Main vein. Once\n drilling is completed crews will move to drill test the west end of the\n Deep Trench vein. The Deep Trench vein is an extremely attractive\n target that has strong surface expression and analyses. In addition,\n one of the most encouraging areas that the Company will drill is the\n Goat Creek structure located several hundred meters north of the Main\n vein. This area has not yet been drilled but shows a very strong\n surface expression parallel to the Main vein and the Deep Trench vein.\n The Goat Creek has very high-grade showings in the host quartz diorite\n on both sides of the structure.\n\n\nIn 2010 Grande Portage entered into an agreement with Quaterra Resources\n Inc.
