(TSX-V GPG)\n("Grande Portage" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has\nreceived the results from 44 rock samples collected from old trenches hosting\nquartz-sulphide bearing veins on the Company's Pass Property, near Smithers,\nB.C. The grab samples were collected from various trenches to confirm the\nhigh-grade results previously reported.\n\n\nThe sampling program was highly successful. All of the samples reported\ngold, to a high of 72.95 g/t. Of the 44 samples collected 13 reported in\nexcess of 5.0 g/t gold including 6 samples exceeding 20 g/t gold. Silver\nvalues were consistently anomalous with 6 samples reporting in excess of 100\ng/t silver, to a high of 365 g/t silver. Copper, lead and zinc were similarly\nanomalous with highs of 11.13% copper, 29.0% lead and 20.14% zinc.\n\n\nAssaying was done by Acme Labs, at their facility in Vancouver, B.C. Gold\nwas determined by fire assay of a 30-gram pulp. Silver, copper, lead and zinc\nanalysis was by hot Aqua Regia digestion on a 1 gram split by ICP-ES analysis,\na method suitable for high-grade ores.\n\n\nThe Company is currently planning an exploration program to follow-up on\nthese results. This work will include grid-based soil sampling and ground\ngeophysics (Mag and EM) to expand the area of known mineralization and to test\nthe geophysical signature over the trenches. In addition the trenches will be\nremapped and all available data compiled prior to drill testing of the\nproperty.\n\n\nDrilling will comprise approximately 2000 metres in 10-15 holes to test\nthe strike and downdip continuity of the vein. It is anticipated that work\nwill commence in May, after spring breakup and when the snow levels have\nmelted from the higher, alpine regions of the property.\n\n\nWesley Raven, P.
