[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n Goldplat plc / Ticker: GDP / Index: AIM / Sector: Mining & Exploration\n 25 October 2010\n Goldplat plc ('Goldplat' or 'the Company')\n Nyieme Project (Burkina Faso) Diamond Drilling Results\n\nGoldplat plc, the AIM quoted gold producer, is pleased to report positive\nresults from the recent diamond drilling programme at the Nyieme Project in\nBurkina Faso.\n\nOverview\n * 11-hole programme designed to infill the reverse circulation ('RC') drilling\n programme previously conducted by Sanu Resources Limited ('Sanu Resources')\n * 5 holes return gold grades in excess of 4 g/t, the highest value being 19.1\n g/t over a width of 116cm\n * The predicted payshoots on the quartz vein have been verified and depth\n extension confirmed\n * Results being compiled with the intention to produce an initial JORC\n resource\n * Planning to extend the exploration programme to other target areas on the\n licence\n\n\nGoldplat CEO Demetri Manolis said, \"These excellent results reinforce the\nprospectivity of the Nyieme project, with drilling intersecting high grade\nquartz veins and confirming the potential of the target structure. Â We have\nidentified additional targets on the project and we are now designing the next\nstage of exploration and will announce this programme as soon as possible.\"\n\nDrilling Results\n\nThe 11 hole diamond drilling ('DD') programme was completed on 15 September\n2010 and was designed to infill the 26 hole RC drilling programme previously\ncompleted by Sanu Resources. Â The RC drilling campaign had identified an\neasterly dipping structure which correlated with artisanal mining on a 2m thick\nquartz vein on surface. Â From the RC drilling results a model of southerly-\nplunging payshoots was postulated. Â These results have confirmed the depth\nextension of the quartz vein, which attains thicknesses of up to 8.5m, and also\nhas confirmed the payshoot model.
