VANCOUVER, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - The Company is pleased to announce that it is now selecting drill targets for the upcoming diamond drilling program in its 100% owned Uruachic camp. Drill holes are planned for the San Timoteo - Las Trojas area, where very encouraging results were obtained in the recent short hole program (table below), as well as the La Reforma property several kilometres to the west.

The upcoming drill program is currently scheduled to commence at the Las Bolas property, five km south of San Timoteo, where outstanding silver assays, as well as some high gold values, were recently received from a newly found zone of sulphide mineralization hosted in an old working that was recently opened. Some of these assays are tabulated below. This zone lies close to the Arbolito shaft where a sulphide sample found in an old dump returned 71,817 gm silver/tonne or over 2,082 ounces of silver per ton and may be related to the source of this sample.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample Sample Width Gold Grade Silver Grade Silver Grade Number metres Gm / tonne Gm / tonne oz / short ton ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711075 2.2 0.35 1,245 36.11 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711078 2.0 0.39 1,295 37.56 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711138 1.1 0.83 1,320 38.28 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711095 1.6 1.28 619 17.95 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711112 1.2 4.95 393 11.40 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 711153 2.0 2.69 361 10.47 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
The overall weighted average of all 133 chip samples from this zone for which results have been received, is 422.02 gm silver/tonne (or 12.24 oz silver/ton) and 0.23 gm gold/tonne over a total chip sample length of 183.16 metres.
A diagrammatic section through this area of the Las Bolas property is given below in order to demonstrate its large horizontal and vertical potential, especially given last spring's very encouraging reverse circulation drill hole intercepts from near the El Manto mine (table below).

The Company is currently waiting for the interpretation of the results for the recently completed Induced Polarization survey that was conducted over this area for final planning of the follow up holes. Drilling is scheduled to begin towards the end of this month.
