This event will be held April 18th in\nVancouver, Canada, with future presentations scheduled in Toronto and London.\n\n\nDr. Proebstel will highlight the Gold Reserve Brisas Project in Venezuela\nas a model for the application of the newly revised social and environmental\nbenchmarks defined by Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards to\nmodern mining projects. It will include strategies developed to maintain Gold\nReserve's commitments to social and environmental sustainability, focusing on\nareas such as: community engagement and development, biodiversity offsets and\nindigenous peoples concerns. The workshops will emphasize various approaches\nto enhance corporate predictability, transparency, and accountability.\n\n\nDr. Proebstel joined Gold Reserve in 2006. Previously, he worked on the\nBrisas International Environmental and Social Impact Assessment while employed\nat AATA International, Fort Collins, Colorado.
