The Company has now completed the\nincorporation of a Mexican subsidiary. While this is a process that\ntook a significant portion of the year to accomplish, it now provides\nofficial status to GHG in Mexico. As an official recognized entity by\nthe Government, the Company is now in a position to participate in\nmore significant collaborations throughout Mexico, as well as pursue\nits hemp licensing to grow and process hemp material for direct use by\nthe R&D Division. It is expected that the Mexican Senate will\napprove the hemp and cannabis laws some time during the current\nlegislative session that began in September.\n \n \n \n \n Global Hemp’s First Patent\nApplication\n \n \n \n \n The Company is also pleased to announce that it has\nengaged a group of Mexican and U.S. patent attorneys to complete the\nnecessary paperwork to file the Company’s first patent created by\nthe R&D Division. The patent relates to a new method to produce a\nhemp-based composite material that would be used in the construction\nindustry as a replacement for Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF). More\ninformation will be released on this project once the necessary\ndocumentation is filed at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.\n \n \n \n \n Expansion of R&D\nActivities\n \n \n \n \n R&D is an extremely important segment of the\nCompany’s business.\n \n \n On August 24, 2021, GHG\nannounced the signing of a Collaboration Agreement with the\n \n \n National Autonomous University of Mexico\n(Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico - UNAM), one of the leading\nSpanish-speaking universities of the World and the most prestigious\nLatin American educational institution. This collaboration allows GHG\naccess\n \n \n to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities\nat the university, as well as UNAM’s research l...
