About this update from Getty Copper Inc.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol TSX:V GTC\n\n\nVANCOUVER, May 6 /CNW/ - Getty Copper Inc. is pleased to announce an\nupdate on the Preliminary Feasibility Study engineering report being carried\nout by West Coast Engineering and Environmental under the direction of Mr.\nCraig Parkinson P.Geo, the Qualified Person responsible for this study. As the\nGetty North NI 43-101 compliant resource has been updated with molybdenum\nvalues, West Coast reports that the processing plan is proposed to be altered\nto effectively accommodate the molybdenum resource. To facilitate effective\nrecovery of the molybdenum resource, the option of dump and heap leaching of\noxide ores has now been replaced by a flotation tailings leach system. This\nmethodology is anticipated to allow maximum potential utilization of the\nupdated Getty resources and is analogous to other recent and successfully\noperating global hydrometallurgical production facilities. Further, given the\ncurrent global crisis in molybdenum roasting capacity, West Coast is now\ndesigning incremental added capacity in the hydrometallurgical pressure\noxidation and metal recovery circuits for potential on-site custom processing\nof outside copper and molybdenum concentrates from other entities with\navailable materials. In particular, the hydrometallurgical process plant now\nproposed for Getty by West Coast should allow treatment of much lower grade\ncombined bulk copper and molybdenum concentrates which could be a significant\nadvantage over current molybdenum concentrate production and roasting\npractices.\n\n\nThe company also announces that it has restructured its management team.\n\n\nMr. John Parks has resigned after respectfully requesting the board to\nfind a replacement thereby allowing him to dedicate the necessary time to his\npersonal business interests. The Company wholeheartedly thanks Mr. Parks for\nhis years of dedicated service.\n\n\nCertain statements in this document constitute "forward-looking\nstatements" within the meaning of the United States Private Securities\nLitigation Reform Act of 1995.
