Issue of New Ordinary Shares

Genus PLC 11 January 2001 The Company announces that it has today applied for 20,118 new ordinary shares of 10p each, fully paid to be admitted to trading on AIM. These shares have been issued under the terms of the Company's SAYE Scheme. Dealings in the new ordinary shares are expected to commence at 8:30 a.m. on 17 January 2001.
