SUCCESSFUL FLOTATION ON AIM
APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Genus, the fast growing technology and service company
for world-wide agriculture, whose shares were admitted to
AIM today announces that John Hawkins (46) has been
appointed a Non-Executive Director.
He is currently Chief Executive of Anite Group plc, the
well known international software and services company
quoted on the London Stock Exchange.
During his career he has held senior world-wide posts for
several major corporations including Chief Executive of
Graseby plc and President (Europe) of Philips Media, and
Adjunct Director of Philips International BV. As
Director and General Manager of Digital Equipment
Corporation, he controlled their $1.2 billion world-wide
Retail Banking business.
Commenting on the appointment, John Beckett, Chairman of
Genus, said:

of Genus and intends to use his extensive commercial
experience to help drive the business to achieve its
new high growth targets.'
Genus' shares began trading on the Alternative Investment
Market today following a placing by Singer & Friedlander
of 1,530,050 Ordinary Shares to raise approximately £2.7
million.
