Discussions continue regarding the acquisition by Agroceres PIC, Genus's 49% owned joint venture in Brazil, of Génétiporc's Brazilian joint venture, following the memorandum of understanding agreed in September 2013. \n \nGénétiporc represents an excellent strategic fit with Genus's core activities and has very similar values to Genus's porcine global business unit, PIC. Génétiporc has a strong reputation across the Americas for porcine genetics with a particular emphasis on meat quality, product development, bio-security and health, all of which are also areas of focus for Genus.
