[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nTSE Stock Symbol:  GDC\n\n\nCALGARY, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Genesis Land Development Corp.\n (\"Genesis\" or \"the Corporation\") (TSX: GDC) is pleased to announce that\n at the annual general meeting (\"AGM\") of its shareholders, the\n shareholders approved all the resolutions presented at the meeting,\n including:\n\n\nTo set the number of directors at seven.\n\n\nThe election of the following board members:\n\n\nMr. Yazdi Bharucha\n\n\nMr. Michael Brodsky\n\n\nMr. Steven Glover\n\n\nMr. Mark  Mitchell\n\n\nMr. William Pringle\n\n\nMr. Sandy Poklar\n\n\nMr. Mark Scott\n\n\nThe reappointment of MNP LLP as auditors\n\n\nAt a meeting of the Board of Directors that followed the AGM, Mr.\n Michael Brodsky was unanimously appointed by the directors to be\n Chairman of the Board of Directors.\n\n\nMessrs William Pringle and Mark Scott joined the Board as a result of\n the voting at the AGM.\n\n\nMr. Pringle is a founder of Bordeaux Properties Inc. and is currently\n its Executive Chair.  Bordeaux is a land developer with operations\n focused on country residential projects and builds homes in Calgary as\n Baywest Homes.  Previously, Mr. Pringle was with the Brookfield Asset\n Management Group for 14 years, during which time he had senior roles\n with the operating arms of Brookfield Properties Corporation, a\n multi-national real-estate company.  He was President and CEO of\n Brookfield Homes from March of 1994 until February of 2000, and prior\n to that he was president of Brookfield's office property group.  Mr.\n Pringle is a Chartered Account and received his Bachelor of Commerce\n from the University of Calgary.  Mr. Pringle is involved with various\n community activities, including past chair of the Major Donor Group,\n United Way of Calgary, and has served on the boards of various private\n and public companies.\n\n\nMr. Scott brings nearly 30 years of experience in real estate,\n investment banking and international business. He has extensive\n experience with real estate mergers & acquisitions, asset sales, and\n property asset management. He worked for 14 years with Scotia Capital\n Inc., most recently as Managing Director & Office Head in the Vancouver\n office. He is currently a private investor.
