Aug. 11, 2010 (Filing Services Canada) -- Coltstar Ventures Inc. (CTR - TSX Venture), ("Coltstar") announces that it has appointed four distinguished individuals to its Corporate Advisory Council. Their broad expertise and counsel will add materially to Coltstar's endeavours.
JAMES BECKE
Mr. Becke was a Founding Director of Macquarie Bank Ltd until his retirement. He was also Founding Director of Austraclear Ltd, and previously a Director of Capital Markets at Dresdner International Financial Markets (Australia) Ltd.
Mr. Becke has 35 years experience in all facets of the global capital markets including more than 10 years international experience in the financing of natural resource companies.
DR LI WEITIAN
Dr. Li is a highly respected geologist and geochemist with extensive mineral exploration and development experience, with knowledge of prospecting and processing of iron ore. He has developed several novel mineral processing techniques enabling the economical utilisation of refractory ores. Dr. Li obtained his PhD in Processing Mineralogy from the China University of Geosciences, Beijing and has been a Visiting Scholar (Hydrometallurgy) at the University of Arizona, USA.
In addition to holding the position of Deputy Director of the Geological Survey of Guangxi Province, China (2002-2008) he has been instrumental in negotiating contracts between the GSG and a number of foreign mining companies. He has worked closely with State Owned mining enterprises and conducted technical due diligence on foreign acquisition targets for them.
R. DESMOND McVEIGH
Mr. McVeigh is an international banker with over 35 years experience spanning a career in merchant banking, corporate finance, energy, project finance and capital markets working with institutions such as Citibank, Saudi International Bank and Lloyds Merchant Bank. In the mid 1990's he was recruited by the U.K. Government and appointed Chief Executive of the Industrial Development Board for Northern Ireland (IDB).
During his tenure as Chief Executive of the IDB Mr. McVeigh developed substantial contacts in China, Korea and South East Asia and is an Official Advisor to the Chinese Government in Jilin Province, Northern China.
JAMES D. SEYMOUR
Mr. Seymour has an extensive emerging markets background with strong experience in relationship management of financial, corporate and government parties as well as broad investment advisory, asset allocation, manager selection and due diligence experience.
Mr. Seymour has been a member of the Advisory Committee of numerous international and domestic private capital limited partnerships including those managed by: AIG Asian Investment Co.; Apax Partners & Co.; Atlas Venture; Brait Capital Partners; Chequers Capital; CVC Capital Partners; Domain Associates; Duke Street Capital; First Reserve Corporation (Observer); H&Q Asia Pacific; Israel Seed Partners; J.W. Childs; Linsalata Capital Partners; Morgenthaler Ventures; Nordic Capital; Walden International; Weston Presidio; and West Private Equity and continues on the Advisory Committee of Pacific Equity Partners. He has extensive knowledge of best practices in private equity, the evaluation of investment opportunities, and risk management.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Africa Emerging Markets Fund, a public securities fund, and the Advisory Board of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association of Washington, D.C. Mr Seymour is also on the Advisory Board of Pacific Equity Partners, an Australian private equity firm and serves on the Board of the Global Partnership for Afghanistan.
