[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 2480U Genedrive PLC 23 October 2017  \n\n \n                                                           genedrive plc (\"genedrive\" or the \"Company\")        \n \ngenedrive launches Genedrive® Hepatitis C test in Africa\n \n     Genedrive® HCV ID Kit to be launched at IFCC WorldLab 2017 Congress  \n \ngenedrive plc (AIM: GDR), the near patient molecular diagnostics company, will launch the decentralised Hepatitis C assay, Genedrive® HCV ID Kit, at the IFCC WorldLab 2017 Congress from 22 - 25 October 2017 in Durban, South Africa.\ngenedrive recently announced it had signed a distribution agreement with Sysmex Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Sysmex Corporation, for the Genedrive® HCV ID Kit and the Genedrive® platform in the EMEA region with an initial focus on Africa, with the rest of the EMEA region to follow. Working together, the companies will focus on securing the required regulatory approvals in individual territories of Africa and genedrive anticipates commercial traction during the 2017/2018 financial year.\nThe Genedrive® HCV assay is performed on the Genedrive® instrument, an innovative and affordable system providing molecular diagnostics at the point of need. The proprietary assay is performed directly from a small, 30ul plasma sample and does not require a separate viral nucleic acid extraction process.
