Grant of Options
Glencar announces that on August 12, 2004 and pursuant to the Company's Share
Option Scheme, the Company has granted the following share options to its
Directors:

Kieran Harrington 500,000
William Cummins 250,000
Sean Finlay 250,000
Philip O'Quigley 250,000
These options have been granted for a five-year period, exercisable at €0.075
per share.
The total number of options now outstanding is 6.75 million.
