(OTCQB:GOPH) has concluded Phase 1 in the development of their Avant! AI infrastructure, the company aims to expand the gamut for Phase 2’s “Semantic Segmentation Machine Learning System Development”, according to CTO Danny Rittman. “Phase 2 is basically broadening Avant!’s spectrum, coverage, features and capabilities in each domain” he said. “For example, the tracking system; in the past it was very targeted. We’re going to broaden that. We’re going to make it larger, wider and basically more comprehensive not only for our GEO system but also for other technologies that we are developing.” With the conclusion of Phase 1, or the “infrastructure” into which the “database mechanisms” were consolidated, Rittman explained how the Avant! engine can, with the move to Phase 2, be applied to things like drone technology. “Avant! could basically get information about the weather (wind, rain, sunshine etc.), process all this information and have the drone fly at a certain speed or do some corrections,” he said. “So, the drone keeps a good course and Avant! will be able to learn from this, implement experience, information and data into things like drones in case a similar situation occurs again.” The same principles will feature in the application of Avant! to things like autonomous machines, wherein the engine learns from data and implements that learning in its future governance. “We will target Avant! to autonomous driving and autonomous machines and it will take into account road conditions, weather conditions, obstacles, objects, interactions etc.,” he said. “From now on, Avant! will actually have the wisdom to analyze, store the data, learn from it for next time and act in the most efficient way and of course, in a safe way in the future.” AI has made the news lately, with Facebook (Quote) rele...
