This exclusive service\nutilises data from Property Searches carried out during the final stages of home\nconveyancing, to predict accurately when individuals will move home.\n\nProperty Searches are conducted through various organisations in relation to the\nlocal area information and property risks. To ensure that the service is able\nto deliver significant benefits to its clients, especially those with national\ncoverage, GB has secured exclusive agreements with a number of the major\nproviders of such Property Searches so that the 4C-UKT(TM) service incorporates\ndata representing up to 70% of the properties being bought and sold each year in\nEngland and Wales.\n\nThis data is the first component of 4C-UK(TM). It is unique and will enable GB's\nclients to foresee their customers' intention to move house. This will provide\nsignificant value as one in seven adults in the UK move home each year, equating\nto approximately 1.3 million households.\n\nPeople moving home account for the greatest loss of customers for utility and\nother companies compared to any other single, lifestage change event. The\nhomemoving process is also disruptive for homeowners who often omit to inform\nsuppliers when they move. Clients using the 4C-UK(TM) service will be alerted\nimmediately when a search takes place, thereby enabling them to take proactive\nmeasures to retain their customers and provide them with additional products and\nservices that may be required at their new home. As Property Searches normally\ntake place approximately six to eight weeks in advance of a house move, the\n4C-UK(TM) service will ensure continuity of customer relationships and much less\ndisruption.\n\nGB intends to continue to expand the 4C-UK(TM) data service by adding further data\nsources associated with key lifestage changes of individuals.
