[{"type":"text","content":"\n Matchtech Group PLC\n26 January 2007\n\n\n\n\n26 January 2007\n\n Pre Close Trading Update and Board Changes\n\n\nMatchtech Group plc, one of the UK's leading technical recruitment companies,\nwill announce its interim results on 25 April 2007. Ahead of this, the Company\ntoday announces a trading update, together with details of a change in the roles\nand responsibilities of two of its Directors.\n\n\nTrading\n\nThe Board is pleased to announce that trading continues to be strong across all\nthree of Matchtech's operating sectors, Engineering, Built Environment and\nSupport Services. Net Fee Income ('NFI') in the first five months was over 28%\nahead of the same period last year. Market conditions remain strong and there\nare good growth opportunities open to the Company. This gives the Board\nconfidence in Matchtech's prospects for the full year.\n\n\nBoard Change\n\nAdrian Gunn, currently Deputy Managing Director and Sales Director, is to take\nover the position of Group Managing Director with effect from 1 February 2007.\nAdrian takes over from Paul Raine, who remains on the Board as Resources\nDirector, with responsibility for IT, operations, marketing and legal.\n\nGeorge Materna, Chairman of Matchtech, commented:\n\n'I am pleased to report that we have made a strong start to our life as a\npublicly listed company and that trading continues to be strong across the\nbusiness.\n\n'I am also pleased to announce Adrian's appointment as Group Managing Director.\nAdrian knows Matchtech inside out, having joined as a consultant in 1988. He has\nbeen a member of the senior management team for the past nine years and on the\nBoard since 2004.\n\n'Adrian takes over the day-to-day leadership of the Company from Paul Raine, who\nis seeking a different role within Matchtech for personal reasons. This\nrepresents a smooth transition of management roles, with the established core\nexecutive team of Adrian, Paul and Tony Dyer remaining in place.
