(TSX.V: GGI)\n (the \"Company\" or \"Garibaldi\") is pleased to provide a progress update\n on its exploration activities in Mexico.  Of particular note,\n first-ever diamond drilling at the La Patilla Gold Property in Sinaloa\n State has returned highly encouraging gold values near-surface\n including an interval grading 10.4 g/t Au over 8.5 meters in LP-14.  First pass metallurgical testing is now under way in advance of a\n planned follow-up Phase 2 drill program as Garibaldi systematically\n moves this project forward.\n\n\nLa Patilla Highlights:\n\n\n\nLP-14 intersected 10.4 g/t Au over 8.5 meters within a wider 30-meter interval grading 3.1\n g/t Au;\n\n\nFive of six holes drilled to test the La Patilla vein system intersected\n broad zones of mineralization along 75 meters of strike length to\n depths of approximately 50 meters;\n\n\nMineralization remains open in all directions, including at depth, and\n consists of gold bearing quartz veins and breccia bodies in an\n epithermal, low-sulphidation system.\n\n\n\nRegional Highlights: \n\n\n\nGaribaldi starts drilling test hole at Rodadero high-grade silver target\n in northern Sonora State;\n\n\nFirst-ever drill program at Iris, adjacent to two operating mines in\n Chihuahua State, is scheduled to commence after completion of drilling\n at Rodadero.\n\n\n\nSteve Regoci, President and CEO of Garibaldi, commented:  \"This initial\n shallow drilling at La Patilla, where artisanal miners have been\n operating for decades, is an exceptional start for us.  Our next step,\n which we have already commenced, is a preliminary test program for\n recovery using cyanide to determine the amenability of the\n mineralization to possible heap leaching.  We look forward to the next\n round of drilling at La Patilla which will test a potential source at\n depth for the near-surface mineralization we've confirmed in the vein\n system.  Secondary structures/zones will be investigated further as\n well. Regionally, through the same cost-effective approach that gave us\n success with the Temoris option, we're now at an exciting new stage of\n exploration not only at La Patilla but with developments in Sonora at\n Tonichi and initial drilling at both Roda...
