The deal is Mobile Streams' first major customer win\nfor its Vuesia platform and return on investment from developing the Vuesia\nplatform.\n\nUnder the terms of the agreement, Mobile Streams used its proprietary technology\nplatform 'Vuesia' to format 'The Da Vinci Code' into mobile-ready video, audio\nand graphic formats. For example, the video clips are approximately two minutes\nlong and offer mobile users glimpses into different scenes of the famous 'Da\nVinci Code' story.\n\nVuesia was created from scratch within Mobile Streams to handle complex 3G\ncontent. It provides a solution to the technical challenge posed by multiple\nnetworks, handsets and operating standards by offering a full service mobile\nmedia management solution - from content ingestion, management and delivery to\nbilling and reporting.\n\nVuesia was able to 'mobilise' short clips from 'The Da Vinci Code' to meet the\nspecifications of 13 different European mobile content carriers including\nVodafone Global, 3 UK and 3 Italy. Vuesia automatically delivered the content to\neach carrier in their preferred delivery specification, enabling more rapid\nsubscriber access.\n\n'Mobile distribution is an essential element of our overall Global marketing\nstrategy for 'The Da Vinci Code',' said Tony Beswick, VP Operations & Technology\nWorldwide Product Fulfillment at Sony Pictures.
