He has worked on all major continents while working for Rio Algom, Phelps Dodge and Essex International as a field geologist and for Kerr McGee Corporation as regional exploration manager and manager of geological services.Environmental remediation is also part of Mr Roe's resume. He led a Kerr-McGee in-house group of geosciences professionals, which dealt with remediation of nuclear, mining and chemical-manufacturing sites. At Kerr-McGee, and its spin-off Tronox, Roe provided titanium-resource evaluations in support of the third largest manufacturer of titanium oxide in the world.
