Games Workshop Group PLC 3 January 2002 GAMES WORKSHOP GROUP HOLDING IN COMPANY GAMES WORKSHOP GROUP PLC ('the Company') The Company received notification on 2 January 2002 that Schroder Investment Management Limited ('SIML'), have an interest in 3,923,294 Ordinary Shares which are held in portfolios managed on a discretionary basis for clients of SIML under investment management agreements. SIML's aggregate interest represents 12.99% of the Company's issued share capital. Included in this figure are:- (i) 3,438,294 Ordinary Shares held in (a) unit trust(s) operated and managed by another wholly-owned subsidiary nominee company, Schroder Unit Trusts Limited, and registered or to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited; (ii) 375,000 Ordinary Shares registered or to be registered in the name of Imperial Pensions Nominees Ltd; and (iii) 110,000 Ordinary Shares registered or to be registered in the name of Network Nominees (Six) Limited. An affiliated company, Schroder Investment Management North America Inc, is managing (a) portfolio(s) on a similar basis holding a further 600,000 Ordinary Shares registered or to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited. SIML and their affiliated companies are therefore interested in 4,523,294 Ordinary Shares in aggregate, representing 14.97% of the Company's issued share capital. 3 January 2002 END
