The appointment will formally commence with effect from 1 June 2023.\n \nAlison Wood, Chair, commented: \"I am delighted to welcome Michael to Galliford Try as a Non-executive Director. Michael's appointment will further strengthen our independence and the experience of the Board. The Board looks forward to working with Michael.\"\n \nOn appointment Michael will also become a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.\n \n \nMichael Topham's Biography\n \nMichael is Chief Executive Officer of leading UK sustainable waste management company, Biffa. He joined Biffa in 2010, was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2013, and subsequently became CEO in 2018. In 2020 Michael oversaw the launch of Biffa's first sustainability strategy.
