Gabriel Resources Ltd. - Resignation of officers

TORONTO, April 29 /CNW/ - Paul Martin, Chief Financial Officer of Gabriel
Resources Ltd. ("Gabriel"), and Simon Lawrence, Vice-President Corporate
Development, have tendered their resignations as officers of Gabriel,
effective May 18, 2005.
After five years with Gabriel, Paul Martin has accepted a position as the
Chief Financial Officer with a junior mineral resource company based in
Toronto and Simon Lawrence has decided to take a sabbatical prior to pursuing
new opportunities in the mineral sector.
Mr. Hushovd commented: "The Board of Directors would like to thank both
Paul Martin and Simon Lawrence for their respective contributions and efforts
to Gabriel over the past five years and wish them both well in their future
endeavors. The timing of both resignations is coincidental with, but
independent of, the recent appointment of Alan R. Hill as Gabriel's new
President and Chief Executive Officer."

Gabriel is a Canadian based resource company engaged in the exploration
and development of mineral properties in Romania and is presently continuing
the development of its Rosia Montana gold silver project in Romania.
