Hathaway Corporation's Subsidiary, OptiCon Systems, Inc., Furnishes Customer List

PETERSBURG, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 14, 2005 -- Hathaway Corporation (Other OTC:HWYI.PK - News), a leading global provider of communications and telecommunications software, today announced that it has completed the review of a significant portion of the assets that were acquired with the purchase of OptiCon Systems Inc. OptiCon Systems had previously acquired the intellectual properties of the OptiCon fiber optic management software from Corning Cable Systems, Inc. (Corning). Today, Hathaway is announcing that they have reviewed critical information, including the original development and design documentation for the currently available release of the OptiCon system, the collateral and marketing materials that were used while Corning owned and developed this software and the customer list and contact database that came with the previous acquisition by OptiCon Systems.
This customer data list contains detailed documentation from Corning's previous business unit, and includes the details and information for 7 of the top 11 Cable Companies, and the remaining 55 companies that had the OptiCon software installed at over 140 locations. This database includes multiple cable and telecom companies, large cities, universities and international clients that were major customers of the OptiCon system. "Needless to say, we are very excited about the depth of information that was included in the purchase of the software," said Mr. John Batton, President of Hathaway.
