(TSX-V:WEL)\ncontinued locating in 2006 significant gold assay results at its wholly owned\nPoundmaker property located 250 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba.\nA highlight of this campaign consisted of the discovery of new gold\nshowings and extending known mineralized occurrences within the Rio Gold Zone\n(RGZ), which is part of the Poundmaker property. During the summer exploration\nprogram over 25 quartz vein and sulphide showings were discovered, increasing\nthe total number of prospects within the RGZ to 38\n(http://files.newswire.ca/537/WildcatRioMap.pdf). Significant assays from\nthese new high grade gold showings include 8.45 g/t Au, 6.55 g/t Au, 5.01\ng/t Au and 4.29 g/t Au.\nSome of these new showings are remarkably extensive; for instance, the\nnewly discovered \"Crockett\" occurrence was traced over a strike length of\n450 m (http://files.newswire.ca/537/WildcatRioMap.pdf). The \"Alamo\" showing,\ndiscovered in 2005, was extended in 2006 over a distance of 500 meters adding\nto a total strike length of 1300 meters in a southwesterly direction.\nApproximately 110 m southeast of the \"Orca\" occurrence (discovered in 2005),\nthe \"Narwhal\" occurrence, another gold showing discovered in 2006, extends for\n220 m southwest and may represent an extension of the \"Orca\" showing\n(http://files.newswire.ca/537/WildcatRioMap.pdf).\nThe number and distribution of gold occurrences not only indicates that\nsignificant gold mineralization occurs throughout the RGZ but that it may also\nextend further to the northeast and southwest.\nOngoing field work, consisting of mechanical and hydraulic overburden\nstripping in the vicinity of high grade gold showings, assists our geologists\nin delineating the mineralization extent and controls as the next step\nnecessary to define winter drilling targets to test the mineralization\ncontinuity and grades.\nInformation derived from 2005 and 2006 summer exploration programs will\nbe compiled into a geographic information system database for further analysis\nin order to generate drill targets.\nAll technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. Peter\nTheyer, P.Geo. as the Qualified Person.\n\nAbout Wildcat Exploration\n\nWildcat is a Winnipeg-based mineral exploration company actively\nexploring for gold...
